I got my Ph.D. In philosophy from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst in 2013. I think there are many interesting philosophical questions in UAP studies, including in the domains of conceptual analysis (e.g., what does ‘UFO’/‘UAP’ mean?), epistemological issues (e.g., can eyewitness UAP testimony be good evidence about UAP?), philosophy of science (e.g., does UAP studies require “scientific revolution”?), and philosophy of religion (e.g., can strong analogies be drawn between UAP studies and the analytic philosophical study of theism?).
