Initiatives in UAP Studies
The Society is actively developing a number of strategic initiatives in furtherance of its fundamental goal of providing the necessary institutional, organizational, and intellectual infrastructure to support and sustain the scholarly study of and empirical research into UAP.

AURA/UPWARD
AURA/UPWARD is the Society's flagship UAP Studies research initiative, a two-tiered strategy for advancing and integrating research on Unidentified Aerospace-Undersea Anomalous Phenomena. 'AURA' provides the methodological scaffolding and administrative review system for research proposals, while 'UPWARD' ensures that findings across diverse domains—physics, cognitive science, phenomenology, information theory—are synthesized into a broader framework for institutional knowledge production.
Project C.L.E.A.R.
Project C.L.E.A.R. - Curated Learning & Epistemic AI Repository - is the Society's ongoing institutional initiative to create guiding principles and best practices for the deployment of AI across its divisions and departments; it is also concerned to develop a framework or frameworks within which concrete AI-driven projects can incubate and eventually yield interfaceable products of real epistemic value for the UAP Studies community, and also for the general community of interest who engages with the Society as a trusted thought-leader.
