About the event

The seminar is entitled “Field Investigations, Statistical Studies and the work of GEIPAN: the UAP Research of Dr Jean-Pierre Rospars”.

Dr. Rospars, a former senior scientist at a French research institute, will deliver a month-long seminar series (four two-hour seminars in total), covering the following topics:

1. Working with GEIPAN. In 1977, the National Center for Space Studies, the French equivalent of NASA, established the pioneering—and official—UAP study group, now known as GEIPAN. Dr Rospars had the opportunity to participate from the beginning to GEIPAN’s investigations as an external scientific consultant. Drawing from his experience spanning nearly five decades, Dr. Rospars offers a unique perspective on the work of GEIPAN. He will provide a historical overview of its methods and results, highlighting the challenges and successes encountered by the group.

2. Field investigations. Here, Dr. Rospars will share his personal experience with GEIPAN field investigations, focusing on a 1979 close encounter…
